Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are often targeted by cyberattacks due to limited resources and low awareness. A Welsh study identified four key objectives to improve cybersecurity: assessing SME knowledge, evaluating awareness programs, identifying adoption barriers, and introducing an enhanced model called ROHAN. This model, integrated with the Cyber Guardian Framework (CGF), offers a scalable path to digital resilience. The study used secondary data and stakeholder interviews to discover that SMEs need tailored awareness initiatives. ROHAN uses AI-powered tools for real-time risk assessment, aligning with Industry 5.0 principles. This practical and adaptable approach aims to bridge knowledge gaps and make SMEs more resilient.

The study used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative survey data with qualitative interviews. Advanced techniques like regression testing, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and data visualization revealed key patterns. The ROHAN model stands out for integrating AI-powered tools for real-time risk assessment and decision-making. This alignment with Industry 5.0 underscores the importance of combining technological innovation with targeted education. The framework promotes structured improvements in organizational, technological, and human domains, offering a comprehensive solution for SMEs.
