Imagine a world where computers defend themselves against hackers. This is what artificial intelligence (AI) is trying to achieve in the field of cybersecurity. A recent study analyzed over 3,700 scientific articles to understand how AI and machine learning are changing the game. Experts discovered that research in this field is growing rapidly, with contributions from 114 countries and 160 institutions. Countries like Saudi Arabia are emerging as leaders in this sector. Influential authors, such as Iqbal H. Sarker and N. Moustafa, have published dozens of studies on how AI can improve cybersecurity. But it's not just about technology: global collaboration and multidisciplinary research are crucial for developing advanced strategies. This study shows that AI is not just the future of cybersecurity, but the present.
